Anti-Racism Youth Champions Project
The Anti-Racism Youth Champions Project is a key component of our 32 Steps To Togetherness initiative. Led by Amina, our Project Manager, this programme empowers young leaders to combat racism and loneliness, aligning with the broader goals of the 32 Steps to build stronger, more inclusive communities.
What We Do:
Throughout the year, our Youth Champions engage in monthly workshops and events focused on addressing racism and social isolation. These sessions are designed to equip participants with practical skills and knowledge, reinforcing the principles of the 32 Steps and promoting meaningful community engagement.
Programme Structure:
Monthly Workshops/Events: Each month, Youth Champions attend interactive sessions that provide strategies for tackling racism and loneliness, in line with the 32 Steps framework.
Year-Long Training: The programme, running from March 2024 to March 2025, offers comprehensive training to prepare participants for impactful community work.
Community Impact: In March 2025, Youth Champions will lead their own workshops and events within their communities. They are required to incorporate at least one of the 32 Steps into their community initiatives to ensure that the principles of the 32 Steps are actively applied. Most of these workshops will be open to the public.
How It Connects:
The Anti-Racism Youth Champions Project supports the 32 Steps to Togetherness by focusing on youth leadership and community action. By integrating at least one of the 32 Steps into their community work, the project ensures that participants contribute directly to the initiative's goals of fostering dialogue, bridging divides, and creating sustainable social change.
